James P. Kovata
Mr. Kovata is a 1994, cum laude, graduate of Loyola University School of Law, where he was also a published member of the Loyola Law Review. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in 1991, summa cum laude, from Loyola University-New Orleans.
Since joining the firm in 1994, Mr. Kovata has practiced healthcare law on an exclusive basis. Mr. Kovata's practice has focused primarily on healthcare fraud, abuse and compliance; provider reimbursement; provider licensure and Medicare/Medicaid participation; administrative appeals; and contractual issues.
Mr. Kovata is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association, the American Bar Association and its health law section, as well as the American Health Lawyers Association.
